They are as follows:
In the classroom there are posters, which are discussed in the first class stating the following:
Be respectful, sharing, working hard, good manners, peace, helping others and acceptance.
Also posted are general Music Class Rules:

S= Summarize the Lesson

C= Cooperate
Grading Procedures:
This is according to the 1-4 scale for the report card. Students are graded 3 times in the year after each trimester.
Students are graded in 4 areas for Grades 1-5, and 3 areas in Kindergarten according to the report card rubric established by the Stoughton Public Schools/
My philosophy follows the rubrics:
1 - Has limited knowledge of Musical Concepts and Content
2 - Has some knowledge of musical concepts and content
3 - Demonstrates and understanding of musical concepts and content, which includes rhythm, pitch, movements and playing instruments.
4 - Demonstrates an understanding of musical concepts and content, which includes rhythm, pitch, movement, playing instruments, and applies with appreciation, effort and class participation.
In Addition, the 5th grade students will be participating in a trivia contest that involves a little written homework. They will be tracked to see how mow much they do through the year. The participation in this activity could affect their grade, especially, if participation does not happen.
